An Every Day Occurrence

As for me, I delight In the everyday Way, Among mist-wrapped vines And rocky caves. Here in the wilderness I am completely free, With my friends, The white clouds, Idling forever. There are roads, But they do not reach the world; Since I am mindless, Who can rouse my thoughts? On a bed of stone I sit, Alone in the night, While the round moon Climbs up Cold Mountain. - Han shan ( 8th century)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"Although the London Mirror says the déclassé duo hit the town to shop their problems away (aka "retail-relationship therapy"), the Insider claims the semi-retired pop tartlet-turned-fashion-challenged mom of Sean Preston is in the midst of "serious negotiations" to take over the starring role in the Broadway production of "Sweet Charity."

I'm utterly heartbroken (not really, just being super-dramatic for maximum blog effect, lol) about this news.

Shirley MacLaine is the only Charity Hope Valentine I will accept. There are no suitable substitutes. She is it and will always be it. She might be way older now and far removed from the role but that is beside the point.

I think Christina Applegate is doing the musical now but from looking at the commercial, she doesn't give it the downhome, bottom-of-the-heap-but-climbing-out appeal that Shirley did.
